Detroit Red Wing defenseman Brandon Dube will be reassigned to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League, NHL.com’s Pierre LeBrun reports.
He is the latest in a long line of Red Wings players to be reassessed by GM Ken Holland.
He was assigned to Grand for the first two games of the season, but has played just one NHL game this year.
His playing time was downgraded to one game when he was reassigned.
Dube, 23, has registered 23 points (five goals, 11 assists) in 43 games with Grand Rapids this season.
He will be recalled to Grand this weekend, and could potentially play in Grand’s season finale Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
