Apple has announced it will use the new style of the status bar in Android 4.2.2 and Apple Watch 3.0, as reported by The Verge.
The status bar will have three primary areas, Apple said, but users can choose to expand them by swiping down from the top.
Apple Watch apps will also be able to show a new button icon when swiping from the bottom, along with a status bar.
The new style will be available for users in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, and the US.
The new version of the app will be on sale for the next few months, Apple announced.
Users can preview the new design in the Apple Watch app by swipes down from top to bottom.
Apple says the new bar will be easier to read on screen.
Apple said it will also include a new navigation bar to help users find their way around the status area, which can also be swiped down from right to left.
The news of the new status bar comes a few months after Google announced it would be making changes to its apps in the wake of Apple’s decision.
Google announced its new status-bar design back in August, and then made the announcement in November.
